SEA Staff

Ainsley grew up sailing in Annapolis, MD. Coming from a family of sailors, she began sailing at a young age and continued to sail competitively throughout her college career.  After junior sailing she went to compete for Eckerd College and received all conference honors, the Triton Legacy award, and skippered for the women's racing team. Ainsley studied Communication with minors in Political Science and Philosophy and graduated in 2020. Ainsley returned back to Eckerd in 2022 as assistant coach and was instrumental in the teams nationals qualification in both women’s and open fleet racing for the first time since Ainsley was a member of the team in 2019. During the summers while coaching at Eckerd, she also was a Junior Program Director at Edgartown Yacht Club and most recently was the Program Coordinator at a Peninsula Youth Sailing Foundation. She has worked at various high level yacht club programs and has taught all over the country (including the Caribbean)! She is excited to bring her sailing industry knowledge and enthusiasm to SEA. She hopes to grow the program's reach, expand community access, and share the love of sailing!
