SEA’s ongoing sailing opportunities for graduates of Beginning Sailing and Sail Camp classes are invited to join us for Open Sails. Participants must be members or complete a guest pass. Open Sail participants can use the SEA small boats like the Quests, Catalinas, and Zests based off of their checkout status. Are available to tow sailboats out and back from the dock and are on the water in a safety boat for the whole open-sail period.

• Requirements: You must be a member or a guest of a member during open sail and have completed the appropriate checkout for the boat you plan to sail.

• Dates and Times: Open sails are from 10-2 in the spring, summer, and fall, and from 12-3 in the winter. All dates and times are listed in our calendar.

• Location: Loch Lomond Marina

• Cost: Open sail is free for members. Members who want to bring guests pay $20 per guest.

Purchasing a keelboat membership entitles you to use our keelboats on the bay. Use of keelboats requires completion of an extensive checkout process. This membership also covers use of Catalinas during open sail. You must review and agree to the terms.

• Benefits: Unlimited use of keelboats (pending availability)

• Requirements: Members must be fully checked-out on any vessel chartered. Overnight or unauthorized use of keelboats is not permitted.

  • Then double check availability for conflicts or boat availability

• Open Sail H20 Usage

  • If you RSVP a H20 on an open sail day we ask you 

    • Email reservations@seasailing.org Be sure to include boat name

    • RSVP for open sail as well 

    • We ask all H20 sailors to participate in Open Sail and be willing to add other guests on your boat with you

To better facilitate member to member connections for sailing, SEA has created a new crew email group. This is for SEA members who are looking to crew or looking for crew whether for sailing SEA boats or their own.

• If you are looking for someone to join you at open sail, or want someone to come out with you on our keelboat, or have your own boat and are looking for people to join you - this group is for you!

• If you are trying to get out sailing more often and don't know who else is looking to sail, or you want to get more time on the water, but feel like you need to go out with someone more experienced - this group is for you!
