This Summer is the Perfect Time to Learn to Sail with SEA

Many people think of SEA for our youth programs, but we love sharing the beauty of sailing with people of all ages and have been teaching adults to sail since the beginning.

If you’ve ever wanted to learn to sail (or your kids’ camp experience has inspired you), now’s the time.

We still have two more classes on the calendar for July (7/12, 7/13, 7/20, & 7/27) and August (8/16, 8/17, 8/24 & 8/31).

SEA’s Beginning Small Boat Sailing is an excellent introduction to sailing small boats. Students learn to tack, jibe, sail on all points of sail, dock the boat, and learn how to get into and out of the "safety position" and into and out of "irons".

After completing this course students can sign up as members and join the fun at our bimonthly open-sails.

Summer Camp Updates

Camp has begun!

We’re into our second week of camp with Basic and Mini sessions underway.

Our team of counselors and Junior Counselors are doing an incredible job, teaching and sharing their love of sailing. If last week was any indication it will be a great summer for everyone.

There’s still time…

Summer has begun, but you can still come aboard. We have a few sessions with space open in Mini Advanced, Basic/Intermediate, and Advanced.

Sailstice Success!

On June 21st, SEA partnered with Loch Lomond Yacht Club for our annual Sailstice outing. Four sailboats and a powerboat set out on a beautiful trip around the Brothers.

Among the boats was a group on our new Harbor 20 Bula. Hats off to Doug Moler for tuning up her electric motor.

And a huge SEA & LLYC thanks to Kurt Sund for coordinating the first of what we hope are many shared adventures.

SEA Stories

For our second SEA Story, we’re happy to highlight Jetsada Johnson. Jetsada began sailing with SEA in mini camp, went on to the basic program, and then became an instructor and ultimately served as a Head Counselor.
