SEA Wins Two Grants for
Youth Sailing

Sailing Education Adventures (SEA) is deeply grateful to the St. Francis Sailing Foundation and the TKF Spirit Fund for awarding us grant-funding to launch a new sailing program for high-need youth.

This program will allow us to offer four free two-day introduction to sailing classes for Marin youth later this year. Funds will support instructors, transportation, food, and materials.

These grants will also allow the SEA team to work with community partners to bring the joy of sailing to more Marin youth — helping them build confidence, learn teamwork, and connect with the natural world in a whole new way.

Thank you, St. Francis Sailing Foundation and the TKF Spirit Fund for investing in the next generation of sailors. We’re honored to partner with you to expand access to our incredible Bay waters.

Summer Camp Updates

Extra Mini-Introductory session added

In case you missed it we added another Mini-Introductory session (June 23-27). Our first three sold out quickly, so we talked with the counselors, identified options, and opened another up.

Scholarships available

Thanks to the CA Division of Boating and Waterways, we have additional scholarship funds available. If finances are holding you back, please take a look and consider applying.

Harbor 20 Arrives

Our first Harbor 20 has arrived and been out for some test sails. “Bula” is a lovely boat that sails like a dream. Members are getting trained up and checked out to sail her.

Camp Prep Work Day

Thank you to Geoff, Bryn, Michael, and Doug for helping get camp ready. We had a super productive work day May 4th at MYC checking gear and tuning up our fleet of zests. Next up Loch Lomond!

SEA Stories

Last fall, through the support of Dominican University we conducted a series of interviews with current and former SEA members and campers. We are starting to share those stories.
First up, Eva Mann whose three boys came up through our summer camps (and whose son Niko is coming back as a counselor this summer).
