Sign up for Fall Youth Sailing

Fall Sailing is for youth sailors who have previously participated in an SEA Summer Sail Camp (Basic/Intermediate or higher).

Based on parent feedback, we are switching up our registration process. Rather than signing up for a whole series, you can sign up for the dates that work for your family.

Size: 6 participants per session

Location: Loch Lomond Marina 110 Loch Lomond Dr, A Dock

Boats: Quests, possibly Zests depending on interest.

Dates: September 22, 29, October 6, 13, 20, 27

Time: 10:00 am - 2:00 pm

Cost: $60/session

We encourage you to pick 2-3 dates at least to give your child some sailing continuity.

Volunteer Spotlight

Doug Moler is an SEA board member and dedicated volunteer. Doug plays an incredibly important role in helping with all kinds of maintenance and repairs on our fleet. There’s just about no problem Doug can’t handle and he’s always willing to put in the extra time and effort to get it done right.

Thank you Doug for always being willing to lay on the elbow grease and keep us afloat!

Kurt Sund is also a board member and dedicated volunteer. As a volunteer, Kurt coordinates many events including Angel Island, and just this past weekend China Camp. He also is a long-standing open-sail host. No matter the day or time, Kurt will always greet you with a big smile and a warm invitation to join whatever we have going on.

Recent Member Events

July 13th was our Annual Angel Island Sail.

Eight people headed over in Kurt’s boat Matchless. Winds were strong. We Docked next to 50-70 seals lounging on the docks. Everyone enjoyed a great lunch at the picnic tables. After lunch we sailed back under heavy wind.

We hosted our first Fun Race on August 10. We had 5 boats in the water on a short 3-mark course.

While a little chaotic and definitely not by the book, everyone had a lot of fun and we had a great celebration at Andy’s afterwards. We still have 2 more races to go. Can’t wait to see how they go!

On August 24th, 21 people in 4 boats sailed over to China Camp.

Although early wind was light, it got a lot stronger along the way. After a bit of anchor juggling, we ferried everyone to shore for a potluck lunch with more friends and family joining by car. The sail back posed some challenges, but creativity and some good towlines got everyone back for a nice dockside celebration.
